The Programme, which is managed under CeIR's leadership, is a single initiative with the Ministry of General Education (MOGE) and BaCoLes PSE Supporters (BVS).
The Centre for elearning and Information Technology Research (CeIR) is calling for applications to the 2019-2021 Basic Computer Learning Series PSE Programme (BaCoLes PSE Programme) today. The Programme, which is managed under CeIR's leadership, is a single initiative with the Ministry of General Education (MOGE) and BaCoLes PSE Supporters (BPS).
It provides a unique learning development opportunity, as selected schools will contribute to one or more of CeIR's Strategic Objectives under the mentorship of a CeIR subject-matter expert. Focusing on the inter-relationships between the work of CeIR and that of the Schools and the Ministry of General Education curriculum, they will also work in close collaboration with ICT and Research experts. Schools embarking on their Computer Studies Improvement activities from around the country are invited to apply.
Applying Schools must be ready to procure 40 of each supplementary Computer Studies textbooks, as an enrollment criteria, and also procure minimum of 15 Laptops or Desktops during the implementation of the overall programme. Due consideration will be given to geographic diversity as part of the selection process.
Interested schools who meet the selection criteria are invited to submit their application at CeIR's project page (c-eir.org/basic-computer-learning-series-pse-programme) by the deadline date of 15 November 2018. The target date for the commencement of the programme, and the reporting of the selected candidates to CeIR Headquarters in Lusaka, will be towards the middle of January 2019.
